- About Me:
- Dawn Mann is the Founding Principal and President of Break of Day Design AD & PR LLC (BOD) located in DeSoto, Texas. The firm was established in January of 2000. BOD is an advertising and public relations agency specializing in communications for the global sports and entertainment industry. Earning two IABC Bronze Quill Awards for design in 2005 and recognition from Girls Incorporated National in 2004, this award-winning firm and its leader is excited about the future. With over a decade in the business, Dawn’s career path has included working as a production artist, senior designer, and art director. Her skill set also includes photography, typography, and corporate identity.
Additionally, Mrs. Mann is a Journalism Adjunct Professor teaching Information Graphics and Interior Design at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. *Dawn is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners and serves on the board of directors of Girls Incorporated of Tarrant County where she provides extensive pro-bono services. Dawn attended Ball State University where she studied Journalism and Graphic Communications and earned a Bachelors degree in 1995. She also attends Texas Christian University where she will earn her Masters degree in December 2006 in Advertising & Public Relations.
In her personal time, Dawn enjoys playing golf, reading, arts & crafts, and organizing. She often volunteers for a variety of non-profits that focus on education and children’s issues. Additionally, she supports and contributes to several Christian organizations. Her philanthropic efforts earned her The Dorothy Henson Volunteer of the Year Award in 2004. Dawn, her husband Anthony, and their son, Donovan have lived in Lancaster, Texas for eight years where they all are active members of that community.
